The AirDesign UFO Bi is the world's first certified monosurface tandem. Specifically designed for hike & fly and tandem mountaineering, it eliminates all superfluous weight to tip the scales at just 3.9 kg. It's the ideal wing for professionals and enlightened enthusiasts who want to descend from a summit with a passenger without carrying a 20 kg bag.
Thanks to its monosurface structure, the UFO Bi benefits from instant inflation. Launching is its greatest strength: it requires virtually no run-up, allowing take-offs from very tight or uneven areas where a classic tandem would remain grounded. In the air, it surprises with its stability and maneuverability, offering light and direct handling reminiscent of a solo wing.
Durability is also a key feature, thanks to the use of Porcher Skytex 27 fabric and Nitinol rods, allowing for ultra-compact folding and excellent profile retention. Equipped with trimmers to adjust speed according to the PTV, it offers a usable speed range even in moderate breeze.
