Ozone Ultralite 5: The Excellence of Hike & Fly
TheUltralite 5 is the culmination of 20 years of Ozone's development in ultra-light wings. Lighter than ever (starting from 1.76 kg), it now offers flight performance approaching that of a classic site wing, while retaining the compactness and ease of inflation that have made this series legendary.
Thanks to new technologies like complex internal structures and optimized internal architecture, Ozone has managed to reduce drag and improve the glide ratio by 0.8 points compared to the previous version. The new, more stable profile also allows for a higher top speed, a major asset for escaping windy areas in the mountains.
Takeoff behavior is the absolute strong point of the Ultralite 5. It has no tendency to overshoot and stabilizes effortlessly above the pilot's head, even on the most technical and steep terrains. In flight, it is precise, playful, and offers exemplary passive safety, certified EN-A (for most sizes and weight ranges).
The Ultralite 5 is a wing constructed with extremely thin materials (Dominico 10D). While surprisingly durable for its weight, it requires particular care on the ground. Avoid excessive ground handling on abrasive terrain to preserve the life of your wing.
