Technology

Fifteen years of R&D in lightweight equipment have allowed us to develop new designs and specific construction methods for our light wings. The Wisp benefits from the advancements seen in our high-performance adventure wings. Optimizing the number of cells and carefully selecting the profile give the Wisp an aerodynamically clean and structurally stable wing. Reduced drag, an optimized line plan, and reduced total line length contribute to increased performance without compromising safety or ease of use.

Lightweight Design and Materials

Weighing only 4.4 kg, the Wisp is a true 38m² tandem that folds and carries as easily as a solo wing. Hiking is now as enjoyable as flying, and it's easier than ever to share the joy of an alpine paragliding adventure with your loved ones. For the Wisp, we've combined proven fabrics like Dominico 20D and Porcher Skytex 27g with innovative construction techniques to create an exciting ultra-light wing that offers very high levels of passive safety. The Wisp is currently the lightest certified double-surface tandem wing.

Mountain Take-off

Take-off is a critical point in all flights, especially in tandem, and particularly on mountain sites that aren't exactly ideal. The Wisp benefits from our R&D team's vast experience in professional tandem flights. The Wisp's ease of take-off reduces the stress level associated with this phase. The risers are simple and easy to use, with color coding further facilitating operation. Additionally, they are equipped with an innovative lightweight trim system that can be adjusted in the air according to conditions and load. The Wisp inflates gently and continuously, even in no wind. When the wind is strong, it rises progressively without overshooting the pilot.

In Flight

In the air, the wing's low mass reduces its inertia, making it very stable in pitch. The controls are light, and the Wisp flies with very little effort. The planform and tension distribution in the wing give the Wisp a compact feel, and in the air, it absorbs turbulence and transmits air mass information coherently, understandably, and reassuringly. Handling is responsive and fun – turning is simple, and maintaining bank in thermals requires very little control input.
